Alex Blair works for leading UK construction and infrastructure company Morgan Sindall as Works Manager on its EGIP (Edinburgh Glasgow Improvement Programme) project. Alex will be taking part in a 22 mile sponsored walk along the canal from The Kelpies, Falkirk, to Kirkintilloch on Sunday the 8th March 2015 and is aiming to raise £1000 for the Friends of Merkland School (Charity Number SC043989).

Merkland School is an additional support needs school which caters for young people aged 5-18 within Kirkintilloch, East Dunbartonshire. They are a vibrant educational establishment which provides a happy, stimulating and nurturing environment where children can recognise and achieve their fullest potential so that they can become successful and confident individuals in society. The school currently supports around 80 pupils and all money raised will go towards helping to improve the quality of experiences the pupils have.
