The community litter pick took place on Friday, July 18 at Pymmes Park in Edmonton and involved Enfield Council, the Metropolitan Police, waste enforcement agency Kingdom Local Authority Support (LAS), and Friends of Pymmes Park.

John Roberts, Kingdom Local Authority Supports Chief Services Officer, said: "It was a productive day all round, which highlighted the power of partnerships between local authorities, enforcement teams and community groups."

Three fixed penalty notices were issued for littering during the clean-up.

The event follows a previous day of action on April 11, during which more than 40 bags of litter were collected, a machete was seized, and positive engagement took place with park users.

John said that keeping the park safe and clean was "a team effort" and said the collaboration showed how Kingdom LAS supports local communities.
