We dispatched a number of our officers to patrol areas that had seen an increase in visitor numbers as the restrictions to travel during the pandemic were eased and lifted.

The LA Support staff were encouraged to implement our ‘4 E’ protocol - Engage, Encourage, Educate and Enforce, only at the final stage of the procedure if they were unable to get compliance from the visitors.

There were a range of environmental and anti-social behaviour incidents that the team had to deal with including the litter and waste left behind from picnics, the damage and potential hazards from a portable BBQ, if it wasn’t used within a safe, designated area and public safety, with a member of the public using the pond in a way it was not designed for i.e. swimming and bathing.
