Managing Director Mike Rogers, alongside his Senior Leadership and Management Team, who have steered Spectre’s recruitment business so far will continue to be at the helm, with Mike now becoming Chief Operating Officer of Kingdom People, which will now be much larger due to the acquisition making it a significant player in the recruitment market.

It will be a seamless transition and business as usual for Spectre Recruitment Group’s clients and 1,500 colleagues – but with the added benefits that being part of Kingdom Services Group can provide. Kingdom will now provide wider industry-specific experience, an increased national resourcing capability, additional operational best practice, and increased investment in innovation that adds value to customers and employees. With the broader capability of a Group now with 10,500+ colleagues and revenues of £250M, Kingdom is able to offer a “one stop” service to include specialist areas such as security, cleaning, recruitment, and healthcare.

Terry Barton, CEO of Kingdom Services Group, says: “We are delighted to welcome all Spectre colleagues and customers to Kingdom. Throughout the acquisition process I have got to know Mike Rogers and his SLT and it is very clear we share the same values and ambitions to be the best-in-class recruitment provider in the UK and to provide service with care. Kingdom remains a family-owned business with family values and Mike and his team share those values. Spectre has a strong trading performance, a solid brand and excellent reputation. They have a great energy about them, and they attract and retain good people. The acquisition further strengthens the well-established and existing recruitment and staffing proposition we provide through Kingdom People. I personally welcome Mike and the Spectre team into the Kingdom Group and my team will support Mike as Chief Operating Officer in achieving our joint business aspirations.”

In a joint statement, Sceptre’s founders Nick Hall and Matt Cullen say: “Having successfully grown and developed the Spectre Recruitment business, we are pleased to announce the sale to Kingdom Service Group. A proven and trusted staffing and recruitment partner to many leading organisations, the business now moves into its next exciting phase of development, with Kingdom at the helm. The acquisition combines Kingdom and Spectre’s substantial national support and expertise to become a major player in the UK staffing and recruitment sector. We would like to thank all the Spectre colleagues, customers and supply chain who have been part of the Spectre journey and who contributed to the growth and development of the Spectre Group businesses over recent years. We now watch with excitement as the business moves into its next exciting phase and into the arms of Kingdom Group, who genuinely provide service with care whilst maintaining great values.”
