With heavy investment in recent years, Coventry is a growing city that is beginning to rival nearby cities like Birmingham and Wolverhampton. Bombed heavily during the war and dubbed a "concrete jungle" in the 80's, Coventry has been on the receiving end of a number of large scale development plans recently which have transformed areas like the cathedral quarter and also provided recreational facilities like the Ricoh Arena, home to Coventry City Football club, for residents to enjoy.
