The West Midlands town of Walsall is located to the north west of Birmingham and prides itself as a strong industry driven town. Traditionally, Walsall was a hub for saddle manufacture and is still a key part of the leather goods industry. Today the town's economy encompasses a much wider range of businesses from plastic manufacturer, industrial engineering, construction, quarrying to chemicals and digital technologies. Companies such as TK Maxx and Homeserve are well established in the area. January 2013 saw 110 burglaries and 114 incidents of vehicle crime in the town.
