This week, our team joined forces at Birmingham New Street Station for White Ribbon Day, standing alongside British Transport Police, Birmingham City Council, Network Rail, West Midlands Railway, CrossCountry, Chiltern Railways, Avanti West Coast, Transport for West Midlands and the Samaritans, to engage with the public and raise awareness about ending violence against women and girls.
White Ribbon Day is a global movement that calls on everyone, especially men, to speak up and challenge harmful behaviours that lead to abuse. It’s about creating safer spaces and promoting respect and equality every day, not just once a year.
Throughout the day, we spoke with passengers, shared resources and encouraged people to sign the White Ribbon pledge wall. These conversations matter because they help shift attitudes and remind us that safety on public transport and in our communities is a shared responsibility.
Thank you to all partners and everyone who stopped to learn more.
At Kingdom, our CARE values shape everything we do. We CARE about supporting the communities we live and work in. This event reflects that commitment by working together to create safer, more respectful environments for everyone.
