England's newest city, Preston, was made a city in 2002 as part of the queens jubilee celebrations.

Located by the M6 and originally a market town, Preston boasts great transport links which help to foster business in the area as well as making the University of Lancashire a more attractive prospect to would be students.

The city of Preston has over 750 listed buildings including the Preston Guild hall, the Hoghton Tower and the Harris Museum and the Church of St. Walburge, a Roman Catholic place of worship, which is famous for having the tallest spire of any parish in England.

In sporting and culture, Preston North End is the cities local club. They currently play in League One but have risen as high as high as the championship in the past.
