Nottingham is probably most famous for the legend of Robin Hood, the hooded vigilante who stole from the rich to give to the poor and who's stories revolve around a feud with the cities evil sheriff.

Nottingham has a thriving cultural centre with numerous theatres, live music venues and art galleries in the city and residents are served well by an extensive rail, bus and inner city tram system.

Historically the city's economic growth was driven by the textiles industry, with much of the world's lace manufacturing being taking place in Nottingham. Today, the city has a keen on eye on developing industries such as carbon neutral research, digital technology and media, finance and business and retail and leisure.
