Kingdom's Danny Jones receives award for saving a life

Kingdom is very proud of one of its officers, Danny Jones, who has been recognised with an award at this year’s ACS Pacesetters Security Officer of Distinction Awards.

The awards were presented to officers who have excelled in their duties and, at times, have risked their own safety to save others. Only 14 awards were given out to security officers from across the whole of the UK.

Danny provides services to Kingdom’s longstanding client, Home Group Stonham, and was recommended for his award by the manager of the organisation. Home Group Stonham provides interim accommodation for vulnerable young people. Their recommendation was endorsed by Kingdom, and after being shortlisted, Danny was selected for an award by the main sponsors of the event.

Kingdom one of “1000 companies to inspire Britain”

Kingdom is very proud to have been included in the fourth edition of the London Stock Exchange Group’s annual list of “1000 Companies to Inspire Britain”.

Sponsored by HSBC, Business Growth Fund, Cenkos and The Telegraph, 1000 Companies to Inspire Britain is an annual celebration of some of the fastest-growing and most dynamic small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK.

The report identifies the 1000 companies by ten key sectors, and also examines in detail the opportunities and challenges facing SMEs, looking at the sectors and trends that will shape the future of the UK economy. The average growth rate across the 1000 named companies is a phenomenal 70% a year.

Kingdom one of 50 Fastest Growing Companies in Greater Manchester

Kingdom is delighted to have been included in the Ward Hadaway Greater Manchester Fastest 50 list for the second year in a row.

The Fastest 50 is a definitive list of Greater Manchester’s fastest growing privately-owned companies and is run by Ward Hadaway, one of the UK’s top 100 law firms and a major player in the North of England, with offices in Newcastle, Leeds and Manchester. Established in 1988, they are among the to-ranked law firms in the UK.

The initiative is backed by Greater Manchester Business Week and the Manchester Evening News.

Kingdom’s Steve Foster rewarded for commitment

We’re delighted to report that Kingdom’s Discipline and Grievance Manager has been presented with a CEO Award for his commitment to the company, and are even more pleased to use this as an opportunity to celebrate the huge contribution that he has made to Kingdom over more than twenty years.

Steve Foster has been with Kingdom since the company was founded by Kingdom’s CEO Terry Barton BA (Hons) back in 1993, and so he has now been with the company for over 23 years.

He originally joined the company from a service background where he handled customer complaints. Since then, as well as gaining 23 years worth of on-the-job security experience, he has worked in every department at Kingdom during his time here.

Kingdom officer to receive top police award

Kingdom officer Grzegorz (Greg) Stalmach is to receive an award – the London Borough of Hillingdon Borough Commanders Award - at this year’s Hillingdon Borough Commander’s Commendation Ceremony.

The event will be held on Monday 24th April 2017 and is described as “a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the success of the borough police officers and staff, along with formerly recognising significant contributions from both members of the public and colleagues from partner agencies.” Greg will receive the award from Colin Wingrove, the Borough Commander of Hillingdon Borough.

The award is in recognition of Greg’s actions and assistance towards a female near the Hillingdon Civic Centre.

IKEA’s high praise for Kingdom following audit

Kingdom has been praised by their client, the world’s largest furniture retailer IKEA, following a major audit which was recently conducted on Kingdom by the well known multinational company.

Kingdom provides IKEA with a unique security service which has been tailored specifically to match the IKEA environment and work ethos.

Kingdom has provided retail security to all of IKEA’s stores in the UK (including Belfast), as well as their two distribution centres for six years now, having first started providing security to the company in the UK in 2010. In 2014 it was announced that Kingdom would be the sole security provider to IKEA in the UK.
