Kingdom pass Co-Op audit with flying colours

Kingdom is delighted to have been praised by one of their largest clients, The Co-op, following a recent audit.

The Co-op carried out an audit of Kingdom at the end of August. The purpose of the audit was to ensure that Kingdom, as a supplier of security services to The Co-op, has the required policies, procedures, insurances and accreditations in place to demonstrate how we are going to control and monitor our works across all Co-op estates.

There were no areas of non-conformance, with Kingdom being marked as fully compliant in every category that was assessed by The Co-op, and the overall findings summary was very complimentary about Kingdom, saying:

Kingdom named as one of “1000 Companies to Inspire Europe”

Kingdom is very pleased to have been include in the London Stock Exchange Group’s ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Europe’ report for 2017, a landmark publication which “highlights the 1000 fastest growing and more inspiring small and medium-sized businesses across Europe in 2017”.

This is the second edition of the report, which aims to demonstrate the “critical importance of high-growth private small and medium sized companies (SMEs) to future European economic growth, innovation and job creation”. The publication was officially launched on Tuesday 5th September at the European Parliament in Brussels, at an event hosted by Valdis Dombrovskis, a Vice President of the European Commission, and Xavier Rolet, CEO of the London Stock Exchange Group.

Kingdom University Security team named Team of the Month

Kingdom’s security team at the University of South Wales have been praised for the huge amount of effort they have put in over the last month above and beyond what is expected of them, and as a result have been named as Kingdom’s Team of the Month.

Over the last month the team has faced some challenging situations across all of the university’s campuses, ranging from responding to fires to helping with a BBC news crew and providing security for the university’s Open Day and graduation ceremonies, all of which has led to what their Business Manager Mark P Wallace describes as “non-stop positive feedback”.

Kingdom Strategic Finance Director nominated for prestigious award

Congratulations to Kingdom’s Strategic Finance Director Nigel Whittle, who has been nominated for the Northern Finance Director Awards 2017.

According to their website, the Northern Finance Director Awards “are all about celebrating the exceptional talent of finance directors and their teams across the North of England. Often the unsung heroes of any successful business, the awards embrace and celebrate all that is brilliant about this talented bunch of people.

Kingdom presented with 2017 ACS Pacesetters Award

Kingdom was very pleased to be presented with a 2017 ACS Pacesetters Award at The ACS Pacesetters Lunch, which took place on Wednesday 24th May 2017 in the Riverside Pavilion at the Royal Windsor Racecourse.

Almost 200 members, their staff and guests attended the prestigious annual event, which is run by FM Contract Watch. It started in 2014 and is now a recognised event in the security guarding calendar.

Each member company attending was presented with a 2017 ACS Pacesetters Award. ACS is the Security Industry Authority’s (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme. To be accredited under the scheme, security companies must voluntarily submit themselves for annual inspection by one of five UKAS inspection bodies appointed by the SIA to carry out the task. They are then assessed and given a score. They must achieve a score of at least zero (which is considered to be a satisfactory score) to receive ACS accreditation.

Kingdom's Danny Jones receives award for saving a life

Kingdom is very proud of one of its officers, Danny Jones, who has been recognised with an award at this year’s ACS Pacesetters Security Officer of Distinction Awards.

The awards were presented to officers who have excelled in their duties and, at times, have risked their own safety to save others. Only 14 awards were given out to security officers from across the whole of the UK.

Danny provides services to Kingdom’s longstanding client, Home Group Stonham, and was recommended for his award by the manager of the organisation. Home Group Stonham provides interim accommodation for vulnerable young people. Their recommendation was endorsed by Kingdom, and after being shortlisted, Danny was selected for an award by the main sponsors of the event.
